In the latest MOE discipline evaluation, Management Science and Engineering ranked A+ (top tier), while Business Administration achieved A-level recognition. Dean’s Message

As one of the earliest institutions in China to offer education in economics and management, the School of Economics and Management at Tongji University (Tongji SEM) inherits Tongji’s aspiration of “serving the people and the world with one heart, in the same boat, and with the responsibility of rejuvenating the Chinese nation.” For more than a hundred years, relying on the predominant disciplines of Tongji University, Tongji SEM has gradually grown into a top economics and management school with distinctive characteristics and triple accreditations in China and Asia.

While carrying on its mission of “to create management knowledge and develop leading professionals for China and the world who are capable of solving practical problems while addressing the challenges of business and society with a global perspective, responsibility and in a sustainable way”, Tongji SEM has continuously explored new models to integrate disciplines under the concept of “cross-discipline and collaborative development” and has cultivated innovative talents with first-class teaching quality. Tongji SEM focuses on Chinese national development strategies, integrates national innovation, creates an all-round collaborative innovation system, promotes the transformation of scientific research achievements, and provides decision-making support for governments and an overall plan for the growth of enterprises and industries.
